Happy Friday! Welcome to the start of a brand new weekend. Fresh snow fell overnight, giving the ground a beautiful coat of white. A little warmer today and a little less wind. Looks like we're in for a great weekend. The first calf of the season arrived a week ago. She's a cutie and doing very well with her momma and the rest of the cattle inside the big red barn. The laying hens are well protected from the wind as well as they hang out in their winter quarters. Their bedded hoop house not only keeps them warm, it gives them plenty of room to roam! And the snow banks along the sides help keep the wind out and the warmth in.
Our farm stand is open for the weekend and we're looking forward to seeing you. We've got farm fresh eggs, pastured raised whole chickens, pork, and beef. Various cuts available - stop and take a look at our meat board. In season produce includes: potatoes, onions, garlic, apples, shallots and carrots.
The grandkids have a couple bags of kindling available this weekend for those who may be in need of some! Great for starting those wood stoves! We'd love to have you stop by the farm stand. Located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly. Cash, checks and credit cards accepted.
There is plenty of parking in front of the farm stand, please pull in to park. Be mindful of other customers, snow banks, farm equipment and grandkids as you pull into our driveway. |
