E coli bacteria swimming water testing by the Town is continuing at Star Lake Swimming Area. Results from the Vermont Department of Health Lab for last Thursday, 8/11 testing was 40 mpn which is below the State recommended level of 235 mpn, and at a safe level. The Town will continue to test for E coli through the month of August. Hi Folks, I hope all of you have been enjoying this beautiful summer weather we have been having. I know we need the rain but isn't it wonderful to have more than two sunny days in a row. It is time for another Chit Chat to be put together and I need your help with articles, announcements, advertisements and any other item you wish you share with our community. Bring a cash contribution of any amount to support the musicians and the historic Meetinghouse. (88 Lottery Road in Shrewsbury, VT) and a chair or blanket to sit on. Other options for payment are posted at the concert venue.(checks or Venmo)

FOOD: For $15, there'll be a twist on classic Shepherd's Pie- one with Spring Lake Ranch raised beef, the other vegetarian with lentils and mushrooms, both come with a side salad and a maple beverage from Vermont Sweetwater of your choice! All proceeds will go toward the VFFC whose mission is to re-localize our food system and work with Rutland County farms to get local produce on every kitchen table in our community!
