Today's Forecast: Snow before 4pm, then a chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 31. Northwest wind 12 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible.

Winter Storm Warning issued December 11 at 3:36AM EST until December 11 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Burlington VT
* WHAT...Heavy wet snow. Additional snow accumulations of 4 to 10
inches for a storm total of 5 to 12 inches. Winds gusting as
high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of central, northern, and eastern Vermont,
including the Northeast Kingdom.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult, especially during the
morning commute. Isolated to scattered power outages are
possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates this morning will approach 1
inch per hour at times. Furthermore, gusty northwest winds 25 to
35 mph could produce additional power outages this afternoon
into tonight.
Instructions
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
