This is the LAST week for FRESH chicken!  We've enjoyed providing fresh, pasture raised chicken for you and your family.

However, all good things must come to an end, at least for this year!  We've got our chicken processing special for unbagged chickens happening on Wednesday, again, the last one for the year.

Our list of reservations is filling up, so let us know sooner rather than later if you'd like a chicken or two.

** PLEASE NOTE, OUR FARM STAND WILL BE CLOSED ON TUESDAY THE 14th AND THURSDAY THE 16th.  PLEASE PLAN YOUR SHOPPING TRIP(s) ACCORDINGLY.  **

OUR CHICKEN PROCESSING SPECIAL:  Purchase unbagged fresh chickens from our chill tank to your bag and/or cooler.  Unbagged chicken are $4.50/lb (you'll  save .75/lb!). If you are interested in taking advantage of our unbagged special, you must reserve your chickens in advance. Drop us an email (please do NOT respond to this email) no later than Wednesday at 9:00am, and let us know how many you'd like to reserve. Your reserved unbagged chicken must be picked up at our farm stand Wednesday, September 15th between 12:00 & 5:00.  PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BAG, COOLER, STOCKPOT, FOR TRANSPORTING YOUR CHICKEN(s) HOME!

Bagged chickens will be available for purchase at our farm stand after 12:00 on Wednesday. Bagged price is $5.25/lb.

Climate Conversations: Extreme Events

Wednesday, September 15, 2021 | 3:00-4:00 PM ET

Join us for a conversation about how to prepare for and face increasingly extreme events in a changing climate.

As a result of climate change, extreme events such as floods, wildfires, storms, and heat waves are already becoming more dangerous and destructive. Marshall Shepherd (University of Georgia) will moderate a conversation with Craig Fugate (former FEMA Administrator) and Marissa Aho (Washington State Department of Natural Resources) about the connections between climate change and extreme events, and about how communities and governments at different scales can plan for and become more resilient to the risks from extreme events today and into the future. Learn more about the participants on the event page
Register to Attend

The conversation will be webcast on the Climate Conversations: Extreme Events webpage on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 3-4 pm ET.  Closed captioning will be provided. The conversation will include questions from the audience, and will be recorded and available to view on the page after the event.

Climate Conversations: Pathways to Action is a monthly webinar series from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine that aims to convene high-level, cross-cutting, nonpartisan conversations about issues relevant to national policy action on climate change.
