Mount Holly Photo Judging 2021
This year's Mount Holly Photo Judging & Calendar Competition photo entries have been submitted, matted, labelled and hung in the Mount Holly Community Center ready for Cider Days visitors. There are many very interesting and creative Mount Holly subjects on display in this year's exhibit, including Santa Claus, goats, and people's feet.
Almost since its inception 19 years ago, the Mount Holly Photo Judging & Calendar Competition has been a two-part activity. The first part, a juried appraisal of entries by a panel of photo savvy judges, took place on September 22nd.  The winners of the judging were*:
BEST OF SHOW:    "Cold Front Coming Through" by Madeleine Fay
1st PLACE ADULT: "Winter Colors" by Sandra Predom
2nd PLACE ADULT: "Sunset Over Salt Ash Mountain" by Patrick Rose
3rd PLACE ADULT: "Townsend Barn" by Amy Rogell
1st RUNNER UP: "Last Touch of Summer" by Mary Faenza
2nd RUNNER UP: "Halloween Moon" by Patrick Rose
3rd RUNNER UP:  "Autumn Days" by Amy Rogell
The second part of the Mount Holly Photo Judging & Calendar Competition is the calendar competition itself that takes place on Cider Days weekend (Oct. 9 and 10 this year) when hundreds (hopefully) members of the public get to view the photo exhibit in the Community Center and cast ballots for the 16 photos they think belong in the next Mount Holly calendar.
Our thanks go out to this year's judging panel: Brigid Sullivan, Fra DeVine, Tom Johnson, Alec McCallum and Rutland artist, Evelyn Towsley.
*There were no entries in the 5-12 and 13-19 age groups this year.
