BLACK RIVER WALK & TALK: National Flood Awareness Week is Sept. 20-26. To kick things off, the Cavendish Historical Society (CHS), Black River Action Team (BRAT), & the Dartmouth Rural Rivers Project are teaming up for a program on the history & health of the Black River, what's being done to help mitigate flooding. This program includes a site visit to Greven field in Proctorsville and a medicinal plant walk with herbalist and medical anthropologist, Dr. Charis Boke. Dr. Boke has an academic appointment at Dartmouth College where she teaches and conducts research.
Meet at the CHS Museum, 1958 Main St., (Route 131) at 2 pm to carpool to Greven Field. This event is free, open to the public and takes place rain or shine. FMI: 802-226-7807 OR margocaulfield@icloud.com |

Castleton Men's Hockey Team for HIRE!
"The Castleton Men's Hockey Program is gearing up for their upcoming season, while also looking to continuously engrain ourselves in the local community, like we have done for the past 23 seasons. Our players are willing and able to help you and your neighbors with any chores/work around your house or property.
We do not operate on a set rate, just a generous donation; that matches the excellent work our players will do. We have players from six different countries who provide excellent conversation and once again, excellent work.
