Happy Friday and welcome to the weekend.

Thank you for following and supporting our small, family run farm. For us, farming isn't about mass production—it's about raising food with integrity, treating our animals humanely, and keeping the connection between farm and table strong.

When you choose Plew Farm, you're not just buying food—you're supporting a family, a community, and a way of farming that puts people and the planet first. Small farm. Big purpose. Real food.

This will be the last weekend for lemonade, as the grandkids will be heading back to school next week. They'll have their hand-squeezed lemonade for sale in the farm stand on Friday and Saturday! They have enjoyed their summer season and wanted me to say "thank you" to all who have supported them.

We've got fresh chicken this weekend. With only 5 more weeks of fresh chicken, you'll want to be sure to stop by and grab one while we have 'em!

Garden veggies are filling our tables! We've got tomatoes, broccoli, squash, cucumbers, carrots, green beans, corn, onions, garlic. Stop in and get what you need for your weekend plans!

Ground beef is still one of our customers favorites. And grilling season isn't letting up anytime soon. We've got ground beef in 1lb packages, or try our pre-made burger patties. Either way you can't go wrong.

Maple syrup, eggs, honey, jams, dairy, ice cream, pizza, soaps, gifts and more round out the selection inside the farm stand. One stop shopping!

We'd love for you to stop by when you're out and about this weekend. Farm stand hours are Wednesdays through Sundays from 12:00-5:00. We are located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly.

As we are a working farm, please be mindful of hay equipment, customer traffic, and grandkids as you drive in and out of the driveway.

Are you in need of maple syrup? Do you have enough of our maple almonds? Our website has just what you're looking for and is open 24/7 for your shopping convenience.

All things maple from our Vermont farm to your family. You shop, we ship.

I have some things for sale, some things for free, and two things that I'm looking for.
Looking for:

  1. A walk-in catio (wire cage) for socializing our 2 rescued stray cats (through the humane society). At minimum, I'd like a cat cage that will accommodate both cats, but ideally a cage that will allow us to share the same space with them before letting them loose in our garage.
  2. I tried to start a gear library last spring. I have quite a lot of gear, but I don't really have a great place to put it for community access. The goal is to have it accessible for kids in Mt Holly, Ludlow, and Cavendish. Does anyone own a local business with a covered porch that would allow free access and also have someone willing to keep an eye on things? I have nice bins to keep things organized and I'd like items to come and go, much like the free book library boxes, but this is cleats, shin guards, baseball and softball gloves and the like.

For sale (see photos and Craigslist links):

Hey neighbors!

We're
excited to announce a delicious partnership with our friends at
NOFA-VT! On Thursday, August 21, they'll be trucking down their
wood-fired pizzaoven to cohost a pizza party here on the farm. It'll be a casual evening of really good pizza featuring
flavors from the field, a farm tour, and plenty of time to
enjoy/explore our organic vegetable and flower farm in the company of
good folks. We'll probably graze the sheep near by so you can get a
glimpse of some super cute lambs. That sounds like one awesome Thursday
evening, right?!

Registration is required so we know how many pizzas to
plan for. NOFA offers sliding scale tickets to make this event
accessible to all. This event is open to anyone interested in seeing our
farm and enjoying pizza together.

Here is the link for more information and to register:
https://www.nofavt.org/events/stones-throw-farmstead-pizza-social

Where: 120 Wilmouth Hill Road Shrewsbury, VT
When: 5:30-7:30 on Thursday, August 21
What: Pizza party, farm tour, and hangs on the farm!
How: Register using the link above!

We're excited to share this evening, so much good food, and our farm with you.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Cheers,
Jess and Connor

Has anyone seen our missing cat? She's a young energetic tabby cat. No collar, but has a microchip. She has had free roam of Shrewsbury Center for a few years, but ALWAYS comes home to her family, so we are surprised that she is missing.

Have you, or has anyone you know, mistakenly taken in our cat that meets this description? Carrie 492- l2672
