Efficiency Vermont 2023 Rebates
Are home or apartment improvement projects in store for 2023? If you plan to buy new appliances, make your space less drafty, or lower your energy costs, make sure you take a look at the 2023 residential rebates that are available.
Weatherization • Comprehensive Weatherization: 75% off project costs, up to $5,000 (must be completed by an Efficiency Excellence Network contractor). Depending on your income, you may be eligible for free weatherization services. • DIY weatherization: $100 back on select do-it-yourself projects, including adding window inserts, or air sealing windows and doors.
Heating, Cooling, and Water Heating • Air-to-water heat pump: Up to $1,000/ton rebate + $500 income bonus • Ducted heat pump: $1,000 off + $200 income bonus • Ductless heat pump: Discount starting at $350 + $200 income bonus • Ground source heat pump: up to $2,100/ton + $500 income bonus • Smart thermostats: $100 rebate for select ENERGY STAR models • Water heaters: $300-$600 for select heat pump water heaters + $200 income bonus • Window air conditioners: $100 rebate for select ENERGY STAR models • Wood pellet furnaces & boilers: $6,000 rebate • Wood and Pellet Stoves: $400 discount at select retailers
Electric Vehicles • Federal tax credit: up to $7,500 • State incentive: up to $4,000 • Electric Utility incentive: $500-$2,500 • Income-eligible Vermonters can get an additional $5,000 on a used EV through MileageSmartVT.org, or trade in an eligible vehicle at the time of purchase or lease for $3,000 off an EV or other clean mobility option
