From the Belmont Store
To our Friends & Neighbors in Mount Holly:
All of us at the Belmont Store hope that you are healthy and safe and staying at home!
Following the recommendations of the Governor, we have made the decision to close the store to walk in customers, but are ready and able to take orders over the phone, pack them up, and deliver them to your car "curbside".  If you are not able to come to the store, we have a list of volunteers who can bring your groceries to your home.  We will arrange for that, if needed.
Following are the logistics for how this will work:
·     Call the store (259-2292) to place your order Monday – Saturday 9:30am - 4pm and Sunday 9:30am – 3:00pm. The time of your order will be recorded and you will be given an estimated time for pick-up for any items that do not have to be ordered.
·     Please use a credit/debit card to process your order over the phone.  If you have a pre-paid account at the store, your order will be deducted from that.
·     Order any items we normally stock, but if there is something else you need, we can try to get it.  Naturally, there will be a delay in obtaining those items.*
·     Also, please be as specific as you can when placing your order, e.g., two 15 oz. cans of red kidney beans.
·     Availability of some items may be an issue.  As you know, due to excessive buying, there has been a shortage of some items in many stores.  We will do what we can, but we may not be able to obtain certain things. (Regarding produce…our suppliers often require that we purchase an item by the crate, which we would not be able to do.)
·     The deli is at full service for takeout, but not for delivery by our volunteers. The only items that may be delivered are cold cuts of meat/cheese, steak, chicken, or hamburger.
·     When you place your order, we will be asking you for your name, phone number and/or email in case we have any questions about your order.
*Order/Delivery Schedule for Items not in Stock:
Groceries: order Monday or Wednesday for delivery on Tuesday or Thursday
Produce: order Tuesday for delivery on Thursday
Beer/Wine/Meat: order Monday for delivery on Wednesday
We hope to be able to maintain this service as long as we can, but much depends on the number of orders and the ability of our distributors to continue serving us, as they are facing their own issues with staff, supply, drivers, etc.
Keep healthy and safe everyone and, hopefully, we'll see you on the "curb" outside the store!

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I share the passing of our beloved Pat Liao. Pat welcomed everyone into the library with a smile, always willing to assist in any way that she could. Please take a moment to honor this wonderful, compassionate, loving, women who loved life, her children and grandchildren passionately. I was so blessed to have Pat not only as a co-worker; more importantly, as my friend. Peace Dear Pat.
