| Dear VCRD Friends and Partners, As you might have seen, in partnership with the Preservation Trust of Vermont and the Vermont Community Foundation, we are launching a new program – The Village Trust Initiative – to help towns set up or galvanize a local trust to take on projects that address a community need such as the revitalization of a general store, the creation of a community center, improvement of accessibility and use of underutilized town halls, the transition of large historic single-household dwellings into village-scale affordable housing, and more. We're now hiring a director to help launch the initiative! The Village Trust Initiative Director must be a team player with excellent communication skills, an eagerness to learn, a strong sense of mission in service to Vermont communities, and a strong grasp of community engagement, facilitation, and project development strategies, particularly as applicable to small, rural communities.
