ESBR Giving Tuesday Matching Challenge

Ludlow, VT: The Expeditionary School at Black River is excited to announce that a generous anonymous donor will match up to $10,000 for the ESBR Giving Tuesday 2022 Campaign. This is exciting news as another generous anonymous donor has already offered matching funds up to $2,000 thus bringing the total matching funds up to $12,000! This offer is only good for Giving Tuesday 2022, and as of the submission of this Press Release a total of $2,962 has already been raised! Funds continue to help keep the school in operation and offer students a unique learning experience:

"I appreciate getting to do things I never thought I'd do – silver fabrication, basket weaving and field trips have unlocked thoughts about my potential," Grade 9

"I like that we get outside and are not always on devices." Grade 7

"I like that when I work with my dad at his plumbing company, I get credit for what I am learning there." Grade 9

ESBR is grateful for the Matching Challenges from these generous donors, as well as the support from the Community and supporters near and far.  More information may be found about ESBR at the website esblackriver.org

COMMUNITY APPRECIATION EVENING
@ FLETCHER MEMORIAL LIBRARY Featuring a Visit from Santa Claus

Fletcher Memorial Library Staff and "Friends" invite our community members to stop by the library on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 3:30-6:00pm. Come visit this historic 121-year-old gem decorated for the season. Please enjoy light refreshments and festive music while sharing holiday cheer with neighbors and friends. Many thanks to "Friends 2.0", who graciously volunteered their time to help the library shine. A huge shout out to Windsor County Youth Services for always supporting the library when asked!
The evening's highlight, so I hear, will be a visit from the guy in the red suit. Youth will be
encouraged to share their holiday wishes with the jolly man, while caregivers can snap a photo or two.
All children will receive a book to take home from Santa (While supplies last). Please contact the library at 228-8921 with any questions.
