The Countdown Is On!

SIX more weeks for FRESH chicken! We are seeing many folks on Wednesday getting their chicken.  And if you haven't taken advantage of our unbagged chicken special, you might want to consider doing so!

Our delicious pasture raised chickens are sold as a whole bird, and generally average about 5lbs.
CHICKEN PROCESSING SPECIAL: Purchase unbagged fresh chickens from our chill tank to your bag and/or cooler.  Unbagged chicken are $4.50/lb (you'll save .75/lb!). If you are interested in taking advantage of our unbagged special, you must reserve your chickens in advance. Drop us an email (please do NOT respond to this email) no later than Wednesday at 9:00am, and let us know how many you'd like to reserve. Your reserved unbagged chicken must be picked up at our farm stand Wednesday, August 11th between 12:00 & 5:00. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BAG (or cooler, stockpot, etc.) FOR TRANSPORTING YOUR CHICKEN HOME.
Bagged chickens will be available for purchase at our farm stand after 12:00 on Wednesday. Bagged price is $5.25/lb.
Our farm stand is located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly and is open 7 days a week from 12:00 - 6:00.  We look forward to seeing you!

Got Leftover Chicken?!

Cook once and eat twice, or even three times! We roasted a chicken last week for dinner, and last night we grilled some sandwiches, using some of the leftover chicken.

This particular one had bacon, swiss, chicken and tomato and was made with 3 Bears Bakery multigrain bread. We used Fox Meadow Farm's hummus as the spread. Talk about good!
There are so many ways to enjoy a Plew Farm chicken  - we'd love to hear from you with your favorite recipes!
