Dear Shrewsbury community,

as you know, the Shrewsbury Mountain School PTO is working hard to raise funds for the purpose of a desperately needed playground renovation.

This coming Saturday, May 11th we are hosting a Basket Raffle and Silent Auction to support the playground cause at the Shrewsbury Meeting House. Doors open at 1:00 and the drawing will begin at 3:00 (you must be present to win).

Come witness the incredible generosity of local and regional donors!

Gift certificates galore - restaurants, salons & barbers, boutiques & shops, jewelers, spa massage & bodywork, classes & lessons (horse & gardening), maple products, auto parts & services, local activities & adventures (multiple golf courses, bowling, Paramount Theatre tickets, Jackson Gore Springhouse punch card, Fortress of Fun, a pontoon boat ride on Chittenden Reservoir), gardening goodies (plants, mulch, tools & supplies), art (hand-blown glass, pottery, photography, an artisanal wooden bowl) and much, much more!!!!

The success of this event depends entirely on attendance and participation so please join us for the chance to win all sorts of amazing prizes.

event with fantastic auction items, cash bar, live music, and food.

What to wear?
Guests should wear whatever makes them feel good! It's Black Fly not black tie!
Do I need to be present to claim my auction items?
Nope!
Anyone anywhere can participate in the auction. We just ask that you
have a plan for how you will pick up your items. If you are not at the
event, you can make arrangements to pick up your winnings at The Little
School.
Do I need cash?
While
The Little School is able to accept Venmo or checks for tickets,
donations, and bids, the bar is a cash bar and might not be able to
accept alternate forms of payment. It's best to bring some cash just in
case.

Mount Holly Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a recruitment open house this Saturday May 11th at station 1 (14 School St. Mt. Holly, VT) From 9am to 1pm. We are one department of many across the state that are looking for new members in hopes of growing our team.

Come talk to members and check out trucks to see what it is all about. We have just started a first response team that is getting ready to kick off and are looking for members to join and serve that area as well. It is a wonderful way to volunteer and give back to a small but well-known community.
