Conservation Chats: Greeter On Duty Virtual Event hosted by Ninevah Foundation and Farm & Wilderness Wednesday AUGUST 12th at 1:00PM on Zoom Ever wonder who those people are in the yellow shirts stationed at the public boat access areas and why it is so important that they are there? Join us in learning how Vermont greeter programs prevent aquatic invasive species from spreading in the lakes and ponds across the state.
We will use the Lake Ninevah greeter program as a success story to describe the threat of aquatic invasive plants in Vermont, the tools and programs used to prevent their spread, the importance of greeter data collection state-wide, and why greeters offer more than just a simple courtesy boat inspection.
There will be a presentation from our conservation director, followed by a Q&A session. So bring your questions!
