Happy Friday!

Another weekend is upon us and there is NO snow in the forecast so that's a good thing, right?!  Hope you are all enjoying the spring weather and are able to get outside and feel the fresh air.

Our farm stand is open all weekend folks, and we'll be here waiting for you.  Stop on by and check out our selection of beef (steaks, roasts, ground), our pork (chops, sausage, and roasts) and chicken!  Farm fresh eggs are in full supply as well!

Don't forget to take a look at our ravioli and pasta selection as well.  We've got some amazing flavors this week!

Our produce table consists of garlic, onions, potatoes, dried beans, carrots, and apples.  We have greens in the fridge along with a great selection of cheese!  Milk too - save yourself a trip to the big city!

Our bread bakers will be taking the next 2 weeks off from baking, so no fresh bread.  However, we ordered extra and stuck some in the freezer, so stop on by and grab that!

Maple season may be over, but we are fully stocked with all things maple.  Our wood fired maple syrup makes every breakfast special!

Our farm stand is open 12:00 - 5:00.  We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.  We look forward to seeing you this weekend.  Our farm stand is located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly.  Closed on Mondays!

What's for Dinner?!

Here's a look at what was on our table this past week!

PIZZA

Herbed crust topped with a garlic cream sauce.  Toppings included jowl bacon, onions, mushrooms & tomatoes...and cheese of course!

PASTA CARBONARA

Shredded some leftover asparagus for this dish!  Our farm fresh eggs and jowl bacon added so much flavor.  Simple meal, using few ingredients.

FRIED CHICKEN & WAFFLES

Our annual end of our maple season dinner consists of fried chicken with waffles.  And my Mom made a maple pie for dessert!

Mount Holly Biodiversity Project

Earth Day

Through climate change, pollution, and habitat destruction humans have upset the balance of nature — now, species are undergoing the greatest extinction rate in more than 60 million years. If we don't act now, extinction may be humanity's most enduring legacy.

All living things have an intrinsic value, and each plays a unique role in the complex web of life. The rate of extinction can be slowed. Many of our declining, threatened and endangered species can still recover if we work together now to build a united global movement of consumers, voters, educators, faith leaders and scientists to demand immediate action.  The first step is to learn what is now present in our living world.

The Mount Holly Biodiversity project is a small, local initiative to identify the living world around us so that we can know what we have and develop ideas to conserve the nature we need and cherish.  Since its beginning in January 2021, 159 people have submitted  2,839 observations of 927 species seen in Mount Holly!

As we celebrate the 52nd Earth Day (since its founding in April 1970) I'm reminded of the insightful motto of "Think Globally, Act Locally".  One easy way you can Act Locally is to contribute to the Mount Holly Biodiversity Project by contributing your observations to our community website at https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/mount-holly-biodiversity .  The project uses the free iNaturalist program (available from  that helps you identify any plant, animal, or fungi you find in nature and simultaneously submit your observations to our project. Spring is here, Earth Day is Friday, April 22 and there is no better time than now to get out to explore the nature around us as a citizen scientist working for the planet.
