| VSO Trio Visits Ludlow for Concert Nov. 2 The Vermont Symphony Orchestra comes to the Ludlow Auditorium for an afternoon of delightful chamber music from across the globe on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 2 PM in the Heald Auditorium of the Ludlow Town Hall.. Featuring violinists Jane Kittredge and Brooke Quiggins Saulnier along with cellist John Dunlop, this time-traveling program covers all musical eras, including a Sonata de Chiesa by Corelli, a quaint Haydn London Trio, Borodin's romantic g minor trio. The program concludes with a medley of contemporary works from Canada, Scandinavia and the United States. Shelburne-based violinist, teacher and curator Jane Kittredge can be seen and heard performing with numerous ensembles across the northeast. A graduate of the Mannes College of Music (BM, MM) she co-founded the contemporary string quartet, Skylark, and performs with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, and is a sought-after ensemble leader and member. An avid educator, Jane is the Violin Professor at the University of Vermont, and maintains a small private studio in Shelburne. Jane is a Board member for the Vermont Symphony Orchestra and the Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival, and is the orchestra manager for the Burlington Choral Society, Aurora Chamber Singers, and Solaris Vocal Ensemble. Based in Monkton, Brooke Quiggins is the Assistant Principal Second Violinist of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, performs with the VSO's Jukebox Quartet and TurnMusic, and serves as Concertmaster of the Opera Company of Middlebury. She holds both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Manhattan School of Music. Brooke has collaborated with artists including Gloria Estefan, John Legend, and Sufjan Stevens, and her performances can be heard on Sony Classical, Naxos, and other labels. In addition to her performing career, she serves as Director of Operations at MKI Artists. Jericho-based John Dunlop is the Vermont Symphony Orchestra's Principal Cello, a member of SKYLARK and Jukebox string quartets, and a regular performer with Opera Company Middlebury, Opera North, and the Burlington Chamber Orchestra. He studied at Oberlin and San Francisco Conservatories, and maintains a private studio in Richmond. In addition to cello, John is an accomplished guitar and bouzouki player.
