Today's Forecast: Snow showers before 10am, then snow showers and freezing rain. Cloudy, with a high near 34. South wind 6 to 12 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible. New ice accumulation of less than half an inch possible.

Winter Weather Advisory issued January 24 at 3:05AM EST until January 25 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Burlington VT

* WHAT...Snow and freezing rain expected. Additional snow

accumulations of up to two inches for a storm total of 2 to 4

inches and ice accumulations of one to two tenths of an inch.

* WHERE...The northern Adirondacks, northern Champlain Valley, and

eastern Vermont.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Isolated power

outages are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the

morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Ongoing snow will lead to a slippery

commute this morning. After a brief lull midday, precipitation

returns as freezing rain Wednesday evening and continues into

early Thursday morning before tapering off by midday.

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

Please allow extra time if travel is necessary.

Remember that it only takes a glaze of ice to create hazardous

travel conditions.

The Okemo Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce selected six grocery stores as the January 2024 Members of the Month to honor their commitment and the work that they do to serve the region.

The 2023 summer flooding has been difficult, and many have had to spend considerable efforts and finances on rebuilding; however, stores in the area have remained committed to serving the community. They're focused on creating convenient and welcoming shopping experiences with ease for all.

Recognizing the importance of the busy ski season as a prime time for visitors and locals, these grocery stores have taken proactive measures to cater to the needs of their customers this winter.
