The Vermont National Guard will be at Rutland Southern Vermont Regional Airport on Monday, 6/1, from 10AM-2PM distributing non-perishable food boxes, along with produce, chicken, and dairy products provided by the Abbey Group while supplies last. Anyone is welcome to come pickup food.

We will be distributing Farmers To Families meal kits containing meat, produce, and dairy products.

We will also be distributing non-perishable food from FEMA.

We are looking for a roofer with metal roof experience. Our existing roof needs a little attention. Any recommendations?

Protect young Plants!

 
If you ambitiously got your tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, or basil transplanted during this recent warm spell, congratulations, but you may want to give them some protection from the cold spell forecast for Saturday, Sunday, & Monday nights.  Temperatures in the low 40s and upper 30s probably won't kill those plants but it can cause a serious setback and damage to exposed young leaves.  Since plants grow mostly at night, chilly night temperatures (below 45F) can cause tissue damage and can take days to recover from.  I suggest two important things to do to reduce cold injury on Vermont Home Gardener
