The Mount Holly Farmers Market is Back! 
When:  Saturdays, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where:  Belmont Green
What:   Crowley Cheeses, Garden protection supplies, fresh rhubarb, plants, arts & crafts. 
The market will follow Vermont state safety guidelines for farmers markets:

  • All vendors will wear face covering and all customers are asked to wear face covering.
  • Vendors spaced 12 ft. apart, social distancing observed. 
  • Curbside & drive thru service available. 

New vendors are invited!   No charge for spaces.

Fun Farm Facts

This week we though we would share some farm facts with you. Some of them you probably already know, some you may not!

FARM:

  • Plew Farm was established in 2011
  • Our 39 head of cattle are moved to fresh pasture every day
  • The 28 pigs earn their keep by rooting and working up the deep bedded pack in the big red barn
  • We raise turkeys and process them at Thanksgiving so you'll have a fresh Vermont farm raised turkey for your holiday meal
  • Meat birds are raised in bottomless pens called chicken tractors and are moved daily to fresh grass
  • Our laying hens provide us with over 140 eggs a day
  • We put up 280 round hay bales for to feed the cattle during the winter months
  • We also put up 180 round hay bales for bedding the animals during the fall and winter (cattle, chickens, pigs)
  • Plew Farm supports local businesses

FARMERS:

  • Kevin is retired military
  • Patti retired from 27 years in publishing
  • Kevin enjoys spending time with the grandchildren
  • Patti enjoys baking cookies for the grandchildren
  • Kevin was a dairy farmer in Kentucky, New York, & Vermont back in the 80's
  • Patti's first job was lacing snowshoes for Vermont Tubbs
  • Kevin's hobbies include gardening and old trucks
  • Patti's hobbies include cooking, crocheting, and hanging out with family

 

FRESH CHICKEN

Fresh chicken is now available at the farm stand. If you haven't tried one of our pasture raised chickens, you may want to stop by our farm stand and grab one! Get 'em while we got 'em folks, we will sell out.

Delicious roasted - grilled - spatchcocked - we could go on and on.

 

THE FARM STAND

Remember our farm stand is open every day from 12:00-6:00. We update our product list daily, so be sure to check back often.

We accept cash, check, and credit cards ($10 minimum).

  • One customer/family at a time inside the farm stand.
  • Please wear a mask - we will be wearing ours as well.
  • We accept credit cards, checks and cash.
  • Touch only the products you wish to purchase.

Our farm stand is located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly and we are open every day from 12-6.
