An important message for patrons who use Libby/Overdrive through the Department of Libraries Collection.
Our subscription with Overdrive is ending as of August 31, 2021. At that point, you will no longer be able to checkout items, or access your account. It's possible that currently checked out items will remain until they expire, but we are not confident about that.
The Department of Libraries is currently in the process of acquiring a new service to provide downloadable ebooks and audiobooks, however there will definitely be a gap before that service is up and running.
If you're in search of downloadable items during this gap period, you might want to explore the public domain ebooks available through Project Gutenberg (https://www.gutenberg.org/), and audiobooks available through LibriVox (https://librivox.org/).
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to transfer your reading history, wishlist, or holds into the (eventual) new system. But you can save this information for your own records or to (eventually) enter it by hand. Here are instructions on how to do that:
This year's conference will be filled with gardening inspiration for Master Gardeners and garden enthusiasts in Vermont and beyond. After a year of isolation, the stewardship of our personal and shared garden-landscapes is more critical than ever. Gardens connect people to the natural world, the plants they nurture, and the communities they live within.
This year, an amazing lineup of speakers will teach about the indigenous agricultural practices and their application in today's gardens, how mycorrhizal fungi enhance plant health, mushroom foraging, heirloom plant cultivation, food resiliency, and how to develop community connections through gardens.
We hope that you will join us on November 5 & 6th!
