Mount Holly Snow Flyers Update

The Snow Flyers have been busy getting ready for the upcoming season in the hope that all the craziness of the past few months can be put behind everyone & get back to our normal lives.
The one thing that is for sure is winter is coming - the North East Kingdom has already had an early taste of snow - there were some picture's of guys riding their sleds already! We have been busy during the off season taking care of storm damage to portions of the trail and working on a trail reroute that will take a lot of work to make it happen for this season. There have been 2 trail work days to date with the next one scheduled for November 7th. There are a couple bridges that need to be built along with excavator work & tree's to be cut before the reroute can be completed.
A BIG "Thank You" goes out to the landowners who are allowing us to have the New Trail on their property. The New Trail will allow us to keep easy access to Belmont for the necessities of those traveling north and south on Corridor 7. VAST has made changes to the way TMA's are purchased this year - ALL TMA's will be purchased online. We have all the information posted on our website along with the cost. Buying you TMA during the Early Bird purchase dates will save some bucks, Early Bird purchase ends on December 15th, if you have problems reach out to one of us & we'll help you through the process. There have been ongoing discussions on the fate of the New Years Eve Fireworks - Cider Days cancellation has cost the club the revenue base we use to purchase the fire works, that along with the uncertainty of the social distancing requirements may cause us to cancel them this year. More information will be forthcoming as it is made available.
As always we encourage members to keep up to date with ongoing club functions that are posted on our web page - the next club meeting will be November 5th - 6pm via ZOOM.
We're keeping hopes high for a Snowy Cold winter - Stay Safe & Enjoy the Outdoors.

A Black and white cat was found in the middle of route 103 in mount Holly between Mac's and Waynes metal shop.
A wonderful person stopped
and was able to get the cat in her car. She had no cell service to call anyone so she brought the cat to a animal rescue
please call me if you may know this cat or if he is yours.
