Hello, happy Friday, and welcome to the weekend! Pull up a chair and grab a coffee and let's get started.

We've had some rainy days throughout the week, which has been a welcome sight. Even with all of the rain, our area still remains in an extreme drought. We are hoping and keeping our fingers crossed for more rainy days ahead.

We've got our beef freezer fully stocked with all cuts. Ground beef for burger night, chuck roasts and briskets for your slow cooker or smoker, and steaks for the grill! Our current steak selection includes: ribeyes, strips, sirloin, flat iron, skirt, london broil, and tenderloins. What will you have?!

How about a chicken? Our pasture-raised whole roaster chickens are simply the best. Sizes range from 3lbs on up to 6lbs. Not just for Sunday dinner folks!

We're stocked with fresh salad greens and spinach. Thank you to our farmers at Dutchess Farm and Evening Song Farm for growing the most delicious veggies.

Other goodies inside the farm stand include: Eggs, honey, pork, jams, gifts, yogurt, cider, cheese, ice cream, pizza, and so much more!

We'd love to have you stop by the farm stand and check us out. We are open Wednesdays through Sundays from 12:00-5:00. Located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly.

We are a working farm, and ask you to please be mindful of farm equipment, customer traffic, and grandkids as you visit our farm stand.

Take a hike!!!!

Owners of the old Syria Farm on the Shunpike have cooperated with the Mount Holly Conservation Commission to mark trails to explore old apple orchards, beaver ponds and stately hemlock. Trails range in length from a half mile to over two miles.

The weather forecast for Saturday suggests it will be a good day for a walk. The MHCC will host a walking tour of the trails on Sat. Oct. 25 at 1 pm. The walk will last one to two hours depending on people's preference. We hope you can join us. Park in the field on the north side of Shunpike 100 yards west of the junction with Syria road.

Map and directions are on the Commission website https://www.mounthollyvt.org/conservation-commission/
