Today's Forecast:  Mostly sunny, with a high near 26. Northwest wind 8 to 12 mph.

...HIGH WIND WATCH NOW IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...


* WHAT...Southeast winds 30 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph
possible. Localized wind gusts in excess of 65 mph will be
possible for immediate downslope locations along the western
slopes of the Green Mountains.

* WHERE...The western slopes of the Green and Adirondack
Mountains.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power
lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A period of heavy wet snowfall is expected
Tuesday afternoon and evening. This snow may cling to trees and
power lines and increase the likelihood of power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates on this
situation. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe
location prior to the onset of winds.

Wallingford Memorial Rotary's Annual Roast Pork Dinner!Wallingford Rotary will hold our annual winter fundraising dinner on Saturday, January 20 from 4:30-6:30 PM at the Wallingford Memorial Rotary Club, 96 North Main Street, Wallingford.

Dinner includes roast pork, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, salad, homemade rolls and assorted desserts. A vegetarian option will also be available.

The cost is $15.00 per person, $8.00 for children age 6 and under.

Proceeds will benefit our annual community events, including Bike Safety Day and our Fishing Clinic and Derby.

Dinner will be available for in-person dining as well as take-out. Reservations may be made online at the Wallingford Rotary website, https://wallingfordvtrotary.com, or by calling Nan Dubin at 802-259-3490, beginning January 1.
