Hi Folks, These months are marching right along well into the New Year and we have the beautiful white stuff to brighten up our day. I hope you are out there enjoying it. The Chit Chat deadline is fast approaching on Monday February 22nd by 6:00 pm, please have all items, articles, announcements, advertisements and all other items you wish to share with us to me by then. I called VTel on the emails that get to me late and discovered it wasn't on my end that this happens but on the senders end as their system may block the emails to check for being spam. When they finally reach Google they hit VTel nearly the same instant as well to me almost at once within the same minute. It was pretty interesting to see how they could track these things. Happy Winter, Diana Garrow, Editor 802-259-2314 chitchat@vermontel.net
Community Dental Believes Everyone Deserves a Beautiful Smile
RUTLAND - Smile! while you take a few minutes to watch Community Dental's Dental Health Tips from Dental Director Dr. Rachel Rivard and Dr. Jeremy Bullock. They share some simple steps to keep children cavity free. In four short videos they outline the easiest ways to get your family off to a good start toward a cavity free childhood.
"I believe that all people deserve access to a beautiful smile and teeth they can be proud of, regardless of their socioeconomic barriers." Rachel Rivard, DDS
"We are the first line of defense at Community Dental," said Dr. Bullock where we encourage everyone to think of dental care as they do primary care, including regular checkups, preventative care and a place to go where familiar health care providers look after your whole family.
Pediatricians and dentists at Community Dental work together to educate parents about the benefits of preventative treatments, such as fluoride varnish, good eating habits, learning to recognize breathing or sleeping issues that might be related to dental problems, and scheduling regular checkups.
Watch Community Dental's Dental Health Tips where Dr. Bullock and Dr. Rivard will take you through simple actions that will produce results:
brush nightly with a fluoride toothpaste
avoid putting a child to bed with a bottle or juice
give children only water after brushing
stop the bottle at the age of one
don't share spoons or other ways that cavity causing bacteria can be spread from parent to child
