FRESH CHICKEN!
The moment we've all been waiting for is here! FRESH PLEW FARM CHICKEN will be available this week, Wednesday June 9th!
Our meat chickens are pasture raised and housed in chicken tractors which we move daily so they can access fresh grass. Chickens generally average about 5lbs and are sold as a whole bird.
We have seen a 25% increase in the price of feed since the end of our chicken season last year. And, with every monthly feed delivery this year, the prices continues to rise. With this continued trend of price increases, we will be increasing our retail price .50/lb.
Fresh chicken will be available in our farm stand Wednesday 12:00 - 6:00. Our chicken processing special details are below!
CHICKEN PROCESSING SPECIAL: Purchase unbagged fresh chickens from our chill tank to your bag and/or cooler and save money while you're at it! Unbagged chicken is $4.50/lb (you'll save .75/lb!). If you are interested in taking advantage of our unbagged special, you must reserve your chickens in advance.Drop us an email (please do NOT respond to this email) no later than Wednesday at 9:00am, and let us know if you'd like to reserve one. Your reserved unbagged chicken must be picked up at our farm stand Wednesday, June 9th 12:00 & 5:00. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BAG (or cooler, stockpot, etc.) FOR TRANSPORTING YOUR CHICKEN HOME.
Bagged chickens will be available for purchase at our farm stand after 1:00 on Wednesday. Bagged price is $5.25/lb.
Since we are both vaccinated (YAY!), masks are optional. Our farm stand is located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly and is open 7 days a week from 12:00 - 6:00. We look forward to seeing you!
