Be a deer... 🦌

...and take a little wander Into the Land of Elsewhere with us.

It's a wonderfully curious place. A place where cats dress for autumn, pigs wear flowers, and you never know when you'll meet a little frog along the way.

Wander a little farther and things get stranger still. You may find an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other, discover that fruit can be crocheted, or stumble across the tiniest bathtub you've ever seen.

That's half the fun of Wally's Corner. You can come looking for one thing and leave having discovered something you never knew you needed.

So, be a deer. Wander in. Look around. Get a little lost.

You never know what you'll find around the Corner.

Act Now to Prepare for Any Emergency

Preparing for a medical emergency before it happens can make a stressful situation easier to manage. Community members are invited to attend the "Medical Go Bags" Vermont Department of Health Presentation on Wednesday, October 28 at 1 p.m., at the Mt. Holly Community Center.

A medical go bag is a portable kit containing essential medical supplies, personal items, and important documents that can quickly accompany you if an ambulance transports you to the hospital, or if you need to leave home unexpectedly.

During this free presentation, participants will learn how to assemble a personalized, ready-to-use medical go bag that can be kept by the front door for quick access in an emergency. The program is especially helpful for individuals living with chronic or newly diagnosed health conditions, as well as anyone who wants to be better prepared and organized should an emergency arise.

Individuals of all ages and caregivers are welcome to attend.

Participants will receive a fillable medical history form to include in their go bag, along with guidance on what essential items and documents to pack, and tips for keeping medical information organized and up to date. Medical Go Bags have been donated and will be available.

Process to obtain a Liquor License

All applications must be submitted to the Town Clerk's office via the Vermont Department of Liquor Control (DLC) online portal to be approved by the Selectboard prior to submission to the DLC.

Selectboard meetings: The Selectboard meets on the second Tuesday of each month.

Application deadlines: Applications must be submitted to the online portal and the proper payment to the Town must be received by the Town Clerk by noon on Wednesday prior to the scheduled Select Board meeting.

Approval: Once the Selectboard has approved the application the Town Clerk will approve the application in the DLC portal. Catering Permit applications must be received by the DLC a minimum of five (5) business days prior to the event. Please note that, depending on the date of the event, this may require an application to be submitted several weeks prior to the event to be presented to the Selectboard.
