Description: The adventure continues as our young ones gain independence, new skills, and seek adventure farther from the central fire. Join guides as we dive into the forest with a focus on how to survive and thrive in the wilderness. We'll practice the essentials of fire building, shelter making, water purification, and wild food. We may find ourselves wrapped up in other adventures of navigation, knot tying, cordage making, bird language, wild crafting, carving, and more. Along the way, we'll absorb naturalist skills through direct experience and interactive games that will test our physical and mental agility, stamina and awareness. And we won't forget to play a few epic games along the way that will leave us dirty, laughing and connected with the earth, ourselves and each other in new ways. Throughout this experience, we'll hold the wisdom of the ancestors as we pass these skills to the next generation of thriving, connected, and soulful humans. | | | | |
The Belmont General Store summer hours will be Monday to Saturday 8 to 12 PM, and Thursday evenings during Music on the Green. Thank you all for the tremendous support this past week. It means a lot to us to see people shopping and poking in to say hello! We are adding inventory everyday. We have pantry staples such as bread (organic and non-organic), milk, yogurt, sugar, flour, eggs, etc. Our delivery date for fresh organic bread is on Fridays. We are working on getting a gluten free bread option as well. We have snacks and drinks for 'on the go' or to take home. A few of our favorites include hummus and crackers and the 'nutty no grainer' mix. Beer and wine soon to come as well! Of course there is coffee, iced coffee and tea! Our espresso machine will be up and running again soon after a small breakdown on our first day. We will then have espresso and cappuccinos again.
