This is a reminder that the Ludlow Mount Holly School Board meeting is tomorrow (Monday, December 22) from 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Mount Holly School and via Zoom. We will be discussing possible ways to bring the school budget back below the state-allowed threshold.

Possible considerations that may be discussed include:

  • Closing one of the elementary schools
  • Reconfiguring grade levels across buildings, such as:

    • One school serving PreK–2 and the other Grades 3–6
    • One school serving PreK–4 and the other Grades 5–7 or 8

We hope you can join us—your questions and input matter as we work through these options together.

THANK YOU:

The Museum Board sends a hearty thank you for the generosity of the many area merchants, local talented artisans and to Community members who gave lovely items for the Festival of Lights. It was a successful event! We are grateful also for the wonderful support from our town Community coming to share in the spirit of the evening! Your presence and generosity makes for a successful event, and in turn the Museum continues to enrich Mount Holly living! We all are in this together.

FUNDRAISER and REMINDER:

As the year closes we want to remind you there is still time to contribute to the Blacksmith Fundraising Project, repairing and preserving the Blacksmith Shop. We are 25% on our way to completing the final goal of $150,000.00. The restoration work will begin next Spring once the ground is thawed.

The Museum is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Contributions qualify for a tax deduction. Another method for a tax free donation is through a qualified charitable distribution from your IRA.

Please keep the Blacksmith Fundraiser in your sights as you complete your end of year giving!

Happy Holidays and a healthy New Year!

Hello Friends & Neighbors! 👋

A little holiday hours update from the shop — and a small oops on my part 😅

We are officially in extended holiday hours mode and will be open every single day now through 12/24 🎄
You may have seen a post saying we'd already shifted to 10am openings... turns out my enthusiasm got ahead of my calendar 🤦‍♀️

Here's the corrected scoop:
Now through Thursday: current hours (11am-6pm)
Starting Friday, 12/19-12/23: 10am–7pm daily

On Christmas Eve,12/24, we will be open 10am-3pm.

Huge thanks to anyone who popped by early this week — and extra apologies if you were greeted by a locked door instead of festive vibes 🎁

Can't wait to see you in the shop as we cruise into the final days of the holiday season!

HAZEL IS HOME! Thanks to all for your concern and support. With help from a thermal imaging drone and tracks near a camp structure, Hazel was found sheltering underneath. After being coaxed out into the open with food (yes, bacon!) she was safely returned home - cold, tired and hungry. She sustained no injuries during her 48+ hour adventure.
