This month the Mount Holly Community Association Board of Director(s) will be at the transfer station Wednesdays and Saturdays. One might wonder why? We are taking bets on where the cow will plop during Cider Days (Oct 10/11th).

That's right, you too can place a bet for $10.00 on where this years little heifer, Miss Rainmoon, shall deposit her patty. It's the dirtiest fundraiser around town and the winnings are worth the money. $100.00 plus a gift basket for the lucky winner followed by 2 additional cash prizes and baskets. We hope you will consider joining in the fun.

Rainmoon and her 4-H handler & volunteer, Carter Bruce, will be at Cider Days on Saturday October 10th. Until then, stop by and say hello to one of your community association volunteer Board members at the transfer station. You can also find our betting board at the Belmont General Store if you miss us at the dump. Thank you for your support!

Students returned to Expeditionary School at Black River for another year of adventure and exploration!

Their teachers started the year by studying Executive Functioning Skills with Peg Dawson. Staff found her presentation enlightening and will use what they have learned throughout the school year.

Outdoor Education is new this year for all students! They are attending the O.W.L.S. program with Jamie Maloof at her property in Andover. Jamie is a skilled wilderness and survival expert who shares her skills with students and adults alike. KIds had fun playing games, making sun tea, building a shelter, and guiding each other blindfolded through the woods.

Students will attend the O.W.L.S. program each Monday for the remainder of the school year and work on projects related to the program both at O.W.L.S. and at school.

As a Choice High School, ESBR is open to students from Ludlow and surrounding areas in Vermont. We welcome students who are seeking an education that blends strong academics, creativity, and real-world learning.
