Join us for the First MHCA Art Group!

Wednesday the 14th (6-8 pm) at the Community Center

This relaxed, no-instruction open art studio is designed for local artists to gather, draw, paint and create together.

Mount Holly artists of all skill levels, age 16 and up are welcome. Just bring your supplies and imagination. We'll do six sessions this winter - January 14th and 28th, Feb 11th and 25th; March 11th and 25th.

We're hoping you are each well and enjoying a good beginning to the New Year. Kathy and I are happy to have our postponed benefit in place for next Saturday , Jan. 17th from 9:00 to 2:00 in the Klock Room at the library. There are some lovely woolen items, lots of yarn, knitting needles and books, and maybe a few selections you could make use of. We hope to raise some money through local contributions of cash or checks and pass along a few scholarships to high school age students who have an interest in the arts. Please drop in if you have time for a short visit.

Maple Monday!

Hello Monday and welcome to the start of a brand new week, with a new recipe to boot!

We are always on the hunt for new dinner ideas. This week we're sharing a pork recipe with you. I grew up with roast pork Sunday dinners and it's one of my favorite meals. Complete with mashed potatoes, and a vegetable. And a side of homemade applesauce. My Mom was, and still is, one of the best cooks around. Oh, and she'd always serve an apple pie for dessert!

Maple Glazed Pork Roast. Not my mom's recipe, but pretty close! Be sure to start with a good cut of pork (we've got it in our farm stand), and some good maple syrup, (available online as well) and your dinner guests will be savoring every bite.
