ESBR 1st Annual Festival of Wreaths

Ludlow, VT: Calling all area businesses and interested community members to help make this season EXTRA festive! ESBR is excited to announce its first annual Festival of Wreaths Fundraiser, in which local businesses and/or individuals are invited to decorate a holiday wreath to donate for a Silent Auction to be held on Saturday, November 29th, 2025 from 1pm-4pm at the Ludlow Community Center. All are welcome to attend the event and bid on these one-of-kind wreaths as well as other exciting silent auction gifts for this holiday season. All proceeds will benefit local education, as ESBR continues to serve the community with a unique and accessible learning experience. Now in its 6th year of operation based on the Expeditionary Model, ESBR students learn through many hands-on project-based activities to compliment their regular curriculum. Fundraising assists in assuring students have as many resources as possible to reach these learning goals. We hope all will join in this fun and festive way to support the students! Hello everyone! We are excited to announce an upcoming event.
Mount

Holly School is fundraising for their music program getting new concert

risers. We will be hosting a FREE concert on November 8th. The concert

will be at 7 pm at Odd Fellows in Belmont, in Mount Holly. We will have

three musicians performing along with free appetizers and desserts

during the event. It will be BYOB and cash donations will be appreciated

to help MHS reach their goal to getting new risers.
We

would love if you all could share this poster via printed poster,

sharing, or reposting on whatever platform you prefer. We will also be

sending the students of Mount Holly home with these flyers next week.

Ludlow Rotary Celebrates World Polio Day

The Ludlow Rotary Club (LRC) will join the thousands of other Rotary Clubs, worldwide, on Oct. 23, celebrating World Polio Day.

Rotary International (RI), the parent organization for all Rotary Clubs, has supported the elimination of polio throughout the world. Each of its individual clubs, over 4,000 of them, gets contributions from its members to contribute to RI's global funding of a variety of assistance programs aimed at the total eradication of polio.

This effort consists of supplying the medically-proven drugs to prevent polio as well as user education.

While most of the world has seen polio virtually totally reduced, there still are countries where the polio disease is still prevalent. RI is aiming to eliminate these pockets of disease.

The LRC is asking each of its members to contribute to this drive. Thus far, the club has always sought 100% of membership financially aid to RI. This has been true each year since RI requested such contributions many years ago.

LRC Treasurer Kim Lambert noted that individuals and organizations not associated with LRC may still contribute to this effort. The LRC web site, https://portal.clubrunner.ca/2939, will provide a link that may be used to donate to this polio eradication fund. The polio eradication foundation may also be used for such donations at https://polioeradication.org/donate/.

It's such a simple step. Just a drop of the serum and you're protected from polio. But in too many countries, this is a step that is missing. Your help can change this!
