Include Immunizations on Your Back-to-School Checklist
Schedule Your Community Health Wellness Visits
Rutland -- It's time to begin organizing the back-to-school check list - notebooks, calendars, folders, apps and online tools, oh and don't forget your annual wellness exams and immunizations!
Community Health wants to be sure that you have included health checkups and vaccinations on the list.
Keeping your family healthy and safe is our goal, and while getting ready for school to begin is a busy time for families, Community Health is ready to assist you with updating your health records and immunizations.
August is National Immunization Awareness Month, highlighting the importance of getting recommended vaccines from childhood through adulthood to protect you and your family against diseases like whooping cough, measles, mumps, cancers caused by HPV and pneumonia.
Talk to your health care provider to make sure you are up to date on vaccinations. Community Health will begin offering flu vaccines this fall.
Everyone over 12 years of age is eligible for a free Covid-19 vaccine. Vaccination sites are available on the Vermont Department of Health's map of vaccine clinics.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides guidelines for all available vaccines, so check the site if you have questions, or call your Community Health primary care provider.
