dedicated to providing a local alternative to commercially produced factory food

Around the Farm

Well, it sure has been hot this week, but hey, not much rain, so yay!  Hope you are all staying cool and hydrated.
Around the farm this week ...

Haying has been the main focus this week, and we have been able to bale up quite a bit this week.  Fingers crossed that the weather forecast holds true into next week!
Turkeys have been moved out onto pasture this week.  They love the hot weather, so the timing was good for them to get outside.
The meat birds continue to thrive on the lush green grass.  We have just 5 weeks left for fresh chicken.
The cattle move around the farm from one pasture to the next.  Each pasture provides a fresh bed of grass, fresh water and shade.  They too, are happy and content!
Our laying hens are providing us with delicious farm fresh eggs.  Their yolks are so orange, it's like sunshine for breakfast!
We've spent a few mornings picking blueberries so that we can have pints of them available in the farm stand for you!  They are good right out of the container, or try them in Larson's yogurt!.
The farm stand is busier every week and we love that!  We love being able to provide families with a local alternative to commercially produced factory food.

Our farm stand is located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly and we are open every day 12:-00-6:00.  Please be aware of farm equipment, dogs, and grandchildren when driving in and out of our driveway.
