The Gaslight Tinkers light up the Shrewsbury Meeting House stage
on Friday, July 11 at 6 pm

African, Caribbean, Funk, Reggae, and Latin grooves meet traditional fiddle music. It's the genre-bending future of the music of the past. Their blend of global rhythms creates a joyously danceable sound around a core of traditional New England old time and celtic fiddle music, merging boundless energy with melody and song. Since its formation in 2012 the band has lit up the East and West Coasts, and the Caribbean, headlining clubs, dances, and major festivals. Playing what The Valley Advocate describes as "Music that consistently fizzes and pops with unexpected textures and turns," The Gaslight Tinkers' shows are packed with delightful surprises, elated crowds, and exuberant musicianship. At the Shrewsbury show, they'll be joined by Calypso singer and musician Choc'late Allen from Trinidad.

Who Are The Gaslight Tinkers?

Cash, check or Venmo $ contributions of any amount support the musicians and the historic Meeting House.

No matter the weather, the concert goes on, outside or in.

Our very own Harry and Elena of Pierce's Store fame offer up delicious entrees during the concert. Food served starting at 5:30 pm.

What better day to visit the Mount Holly Museum than Independence Day, July 4?
Come early to the parade or drift over after the Parade! The Museum will be open 10:00-2:00. A new exhibit displaying Corn Husk and Corn Dolls delight the young and old alike. Various wildlife specimens capture the younger generation (including the famed Mammoth, the Vermont State Terrestrial Fossil), and Civil War history and memorabilia makes real how Mount Holly veterans participated in supporting our Declaration of Independence and Constitution.
Museum Merchandise, (everyone wants a Mammoth Tee Shirt or Sweatshirt) will be for sale outside the Perkins House!

Happy 4th of July and welcome to the weekend! After a weird weather day yesterday (cool, rain, humid, thunderstorm, wind, and hail!), today looks to be a perfect summer day. And today Patti's mom turns 90! Happy Birthday Mom!

Our farm stand will be open today through Sunday for all your shopping needs. Got your grills ready? Stop by for your grilling meats. Burger, steaks, chops, ham steaks, and ribs!

Fresh bread arrives in the farm stand tomorrow. Get here earlier rather than later to score a loaf or two.

Goodman's take-and-bake pizzas are stocked and at the ready. Have a couple on hand in your freezer for those last minute guests, or cravings!

Wilcox Ice Cream is definitely a must have during the summer. Or any season for that matter! We've got pints and 802 bars. Either way, you can't go wrong.

Let's not forget breakfast folks! Start with a bag of pancake mix from The Hatchery. Top said pancakes with some of our award-winning, wood-fired maple syrup! We've also got Millicent's sourdough English muffins, which can be topped with Ploughgate Farms butter, Sidehill Farm jam, or Plew Farm's maple cream! Are you hungry yet?!

The grandkids will have their hand-squeezed lemonade for sale inside the farm stand today! This will be their 4th year of making it, and they are excited to get the summer started.

We look forward to seeing you at the farm stand this weekend. We are open Wednesdays through Sundays from 12:00 - 5:00. We accept cash, credit cards, and checks. Plenty of parking in front of the farm stand too!.

With the summer season upon us, please be mindful of hay equipment, customer traffic, and grandkids as you drive in and out of the driveway.
