Happy Friday and welcome to the weekend and thank you for following along! We are a diversified farm located in Mount Holly, VT. Family owned and operated by husband and wife, Kevin and Patti. Plew Farm was established in 2011 (15 years ago!). On our farm we raise beef cattle, pigs, pasture raised chickens, turkeys and laying hens. You can find us in the sugar bush and sugar house early in the year where we produce our award-winning, wood-fired maple syrup. And during the summer months, we are in the hay field baling up hay for the cattle's winter feed. The farm stand is open for the weekend and ready to greet each of you. Temperatures are rising over the next few days, so be prepared! Grab some of our pre-made burger patties for your grill. No need to heat up the kitchen! We've got steaks, pork chops, and ham steaks that will also fit nicely on the grill. Don't feel like grilling?! Goodman's take-and-bake pizzas are perfect. 10-12 minutes in the oven and dinner is ready. They don't take up much freezer space either, so grab a couple .. just in case! And ice cream. We've got Wilcox ice cream AND their 802 bars. Wildly addicting! Don't say we didn't warn you! We would love to have you stop by the farm stand if you're in our neighborhood. We are open Wednesdays through Sundays from 12:00 - 5:00. We accept cash, credit cards, and checks. Plenty of parking in front of the farm stand too!. With the summer season upon us, please be mindful of hay equipment, customer traffic, and grandkids as you drive in and out of the driveway.

2025 Scholarship Winners Visit Ludlow Rotary Five of the seven winners of the 2025 Scholarships from the Ludlow Rotary Club (LRC) visited the recent meeting of the club to thank it for the awards. Annually, the LRC offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors who live in its area of coverage which includes Ludlow, Mt Holly, Cavendish, and Plymouth. To date, the LRC has granted over $284,000 in scholarship awards. Pictured above are, from left to right, Kevin Barnes, LRC Rotarian; Briana Barton - Windsor High School; Linsey Jane Miles - Green Mountain High School; Lola Saccardo - Compass High School; Andrei Solzhenitsyn - Green Mountain High School; and Evan Kirdzik - Green Mountain High School. Funding for these scholarships is largely obtained from the annual Penny Sale sponsored by the LRC in the Spring.

MOJO BIRDS
They're back! Last year they packed the hall with happy, dancing people. This year we make sure we do the sun dance and celebrate outside! The Mojo Birds (including Shrewsbury's own Silas Hamilton) are a funky flock based in Durango, CO - playing original dance-y roots funk music, with an Afro-Peruvian flair. Upright bass, keyboards, slide guitar and tight harmonies define the band's music. Their first album, recorded earlier this year at The Studio Nashville, is set to be released this summer.

The Bowman Mansion (and Laurel Glen Cemetery Association) now have a website(!), thanks to the hard work and generosity of Shrewsberry Sarah Greenspan! Hi Folks, I am back and doing well. I had no idea how I would be after surgery and am very happy Heather Garrow contacted the Chit Chat Board members to help put out the June issue of the Chit Chat. Many thanks to Kevin Plew for compiling it, Heather Garrow for editing, labels, mailing paperwork, my husband Roger for retrieving it from the printers and especially Vicki Seward who gathered the boxes full of Chit Chats ready to be delivered, which she delivered to the post offices for us. It is time for the July issue of the Chit Chat be put together and my deadline is this Sunday June 22nd, by 6:00 pm. Fletcher Memorial Library Invites Area Youth to "Color Our World" This Summer LUDLOW, VT—Fletcher Memorial Library is thrilled to announce its 2025 Summer Reading Program, Color Our World, running from June 23rd to August 1st. Open to all area residents ages 0-18, the program offers a vibrant mix of reading, storytelling, hands-on creativity, and exciting events—all free of charge. This year, young artists can showcase their talents in the Mini-Masterpiece Art Show. Each participant will receive a 4x4 mini canvas, an easel, a set of 12 paints, brushes, and a palette—everything they need to create a unique work of art to be displayed in the library's August art exhibition. Throughout the summer, Fletcher Memorial Library will offer engaging programs for all ages, including: Weekly Programs: - Infant & Toddler Playgroup – Tuesdays, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
