Do you have a favorite author? Would you like to be the first to read new books by your favorite? check out the library's Adopt-An-Author program.
How it works: You agree to cover the cost (library cost, not retail) of your favorite writer. We in turn get the book before its publication date and prepare it for you so that you can pick it up at the library on the day it is released to the public. You will be the first to read it! Find out more. Send us an email mthollylibrary@gmail.com, or, stop in.

Four (4) Weeks Left for FRESH Chicken!

Yes, only 4 weeks left for fresh chicken, which also means only 4 more weeks of these Tuesday emails!

Last week we pre-sold more than half of what we processed.  So don't be caught without one!  Let us know if you'd like to get on the list for an unbagged chicken.  This is a good time to get your freezers stocked before the fall and winter months set in!

CHICKEN PROCESSING SPECIAL: Purchase unbagged fresh chickens from our chill tank to your bag and/or cooler.  Unbagged chicken are $4.50/lb (you'll  save .75/lb!). If you are interested in taking advantage of our unbagged special, you must reserve your chickens in advance. Drop us an email (please do NOT respond to this email) no later than Wednesday at 9:00am, and let us know how many you'd like to reserve. Your reserved unbagged chicken must be picked up at our farm stand Wednesday, August 25th between 12:00 & 5:00. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BAG (or cooler, stockpot, etc.) FOR TRANSPORTING YOUR CHICKEN HOME.

Bagged chickens will be available for purchase at our farm stand after 12:00 on Wednesday. Bagged price is $5.25/lb.

Our farm stand is located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly and is open 7 days a week from 12:00 - 6:00.  We look forward to seeing you!

Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder

One of our favorite chowders is this Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder.  And it's a great way to use up some leftover chicken.  You can add fresh corn to this recipe as well.   Here's the link to the recipe!

Roast Chicken

Not just for Sunday dinner!  Whether you roast a whole chicken, or just pieces and parts, it is one of the most comforting meals around. Season with as much or as little as you like - delicious no matter what!

Pick them for free! I have an abundance of blueberries. Would love to see them go to families who don't have blueberry bushes. These have never been sprayed…totally organic. Just call or email to set up a time. 259 2333 or wmsgal@gmail.com 418 Hedgehog Hill North, Carol Ballou
