Contact Phil at: skiers2@tds.net   Mount Holly Community Garden Update - Week of June 8, 2020 It was still cool this past week but it gave us a chance to catch up on garden construction.  This week we added a water tower with 275 gallons of water storage and finalized the electric fence installation.  We are still short on chicken wire by about 70 feet (if anyone has any please send it our way).   We planted additional peas and beans this past week also. Things are finally starting to grow!   This week coming up we will be planting cucumbers, zucchini, and squash; as well as more lettuce and carrots. We could still use a hand rototilling the squash beds.  Please email us at mthollycommunitycares@gmail.com if you can help us with this and are willing to donate a couple hours of your time.  Thank you! Our pasture raised, non-gmo fed chickens are sold as a whole bird and average about 5 1/2 lbs. CHICKEN PROCESSING DAY SPECIAL PICK UP DAY - WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17th Unbagged chicken special: Purchase unbagged fresh chicken from our chill tank to your bag/cooler. Unbagged chickens are $4.00/lb (save .75/lb). Now is a good time for you to cut up your chicken into pieces and freeze for the fall & winter months. You must reserve an unbagged chicken in advance. If interested in purchasing, please send us an email no later than Wednesday at 9:00am, so we can add you to our production schedule. Your reserved unbagged chicken(s) must be picked up at our farm stand on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17th between 12 & 6. Please bring your own bag/cooler/stockpot, etc to transport your chicken home. Bagged chicken will be available for purchase at our farm stand after 1:00pm and are $4.75/lb.
