The Stand Up Shakespeare Company presents ONE FREE PERFORMANCE at the Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site in Plymouth, Vermont on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, 12 Noon
Announcing: The 2025 annual "Shakespeare Alive! A Bard-Based Variety Show" returns for an all-new, FREE performance. It's a delightful mélange of Bard-based entertainment for all ages! The STAND UP SHAKESPEARE troupe of professional actors and singers from New York City will share its talent, passion and creativity to amuse and amaze with the best of Shakespeare's canon as well as Bard-based skits and songs. And, lo, verily, the show is always FREE! (Although donations are gratefully accepted.)
WHO IS STAND UP SHAKESPEARE? Stand Up Shakespeare is a collective of New York City-based professional actors who have become a veritable Vermont institution over a 25-year period. The beloved troupe travels to Killington and Plymouth each Labor Day weekend to present a new one-hour show made up of comedy, romance, tragedy and history, all based on the works of William Shakespeare.
Where: Union Christian Church, 43 Messer Hill Road, located on the Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site, 3780 Route 100 A, Plymouth Notch, VT 05056. The special matinee performance will be held in the 183-year-old Union Christian Church (43 Messer Rd.) with its perfect acoustics making it ideal for Shakespeare performances.
Stay for the 20th Annual Plymouth Folk and Blues Festival, which begins at 2:00pm and runs until 5:00pm on Saturday, also Sunday during the same times. This event is also free, with donations appreciated.

Mix with a glass of cold milk for a delicious and refreshing drink. Or mix with oil and vinegar for a yummy salad dressing. Drizzle it over a baked pizza for that extra special touch. And of course, it's perfect for baking! This week our recipe is Maple Syrup Blueberry Muffins. I haven't made them yet, but you can bet we will have them this week. Happy Friday everyone, let's get the weekend started, shall we?! What a great week here at the farm. Mother Nature provided us with some much needed rain, warm temps followed by welcoming cooler temps this morning! Have you visited our farm stand recently? We'd love to show you around! You can shop for beef (steaks, ground, roasts), chicken (fresh!), pork (sausage, ribs, roasts), maple syrup, honey, veggies, dairy, pantry items, gifts, pizza, ice cream and so much more. Veggie season is in full swing and we expect to have more and more seasonal offerings in the farm stand. This weekend you will find: green beans, salad greens, carrots, beets, onions, garlic, zucchini, and summer squash. Fingers crossed we'll have corn on Saturday. We'll post on our social media pages, so be sure to follow along to stay in the know! The grandkids will have their hand-squeezed lemonade in the farm stand today. Only 4 more weeks before they head back to school. We've got fresh chicken in the farm stand through the weekend. One customer told us that this was the best chicken he's ever eaten. We tend to agree! Quality tasting chicken folks. Stop by and grab one and let us know what you think. We'd love to have you stop by and visit our farm stand. We are located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly. Our farm stand hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 12:00-6:00. Bring a friend - don't shop alone! As we are a working farm, please be mindful of hay equipment, customer traffic, and grandkids as you drive in and out of the driveway.
