HIGH WIND WARNING * WHAT...For the High Wind Warning, west winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 25 below expected.
* WHERE...In New York, Western Clinton and Western Essex Counties. In Vermont, Eastern Rutland County.
* WHEN...For the High Wind Warning, until 10 PM EST this evening. For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 11 PM this evening to 11 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.
