     VETERANS MONUMENT DONATIONS

The Veterans Monument, located near the lower level door of the library in Belmont Village, is in need of repair. After more than six decades of exposure to the elements the top row of stones have become loose. The restoration work will include adding a one-piece stone along the top at an angle to allow moisture to run off.

The town is accepting donations toward the more than $1500 project. Please make your checks payable to The Town of Mount Holly and mention Veterans Monument in the memo line. Call Dennis at 802-259-2460 with any questions.

I'll be joyously returning to Mount Holly for a spell this summer and would love to rent a vehicle from a local for the duration of my stay, rather than use a car rental company. If you have an extra set of wheels and would like some supplemental cash for craft beers and Village Green band donations, please let me know at jacob@sevenmileswest.com!

Thanks!
