The weather today in Mount Holly - Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34. East wind 7 to 17 mph.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO 1 PM EST SATURDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 9 to 18 inches, with localized 18 to 24 inches. * WHERE...Portions of northern New York and central, northwest and southern Vermont. * WHEN...From 10 PM Thursday to 1 PM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. Power outages are possible due to heavy wet snow. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall rates will approach 1 to 2 inches per hour at times on Friday. The snow tapers off to snow showers on Saturday.

Information: If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Please allow extra time if travel is necessary.

Little or no snow accumulation expected. ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 16 inches possible. * WHERE...Portions of the northern Adirondack Mountains in New York and the Green Mountains of central and southern Vermont. * WHEN...From Thursday evening through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Power outages are possible due to heavy wet snow. Travel could be very difficult for both the Friday morning and Friday evening commutes due to heavy snowfall and poor visibilities. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will develop overnight Thursday and become heavy at times on Friday morning and could mix with rain on Friday afternoon, before tapering off to snow showers by Saturday.

Hi Everyone,
     Fresh clean Snow covers the land with many that hopes it will stay for when the next storm hits and promises to be much more than just a covering.  Are you ready for Christmas and the other holidays?  I am not as yet so much to get done first and the biggest item on the list is the Chit Chat.
     Chit Chat deadline is this coming Sunday December 18th, by 6:00 pm for the January issue.  I know it is a hard date to meet and I hope to have the paper out in the post office on the 20th, if all goes right.  Please have all Articles, Announcements, Advertisements and any other item you wish to share with our community to me by then.  I look forward to hearing from you.  If I do not answer you email to let you know I have opened it please send another email or call me at 802-259-2314.
