From Janet and Paul Warren

A friend of ours, who is a summer resident in Landgrove, is looking to buy a used car.  Age and mileage less important than it being in good running condition and not in need of any major repairs.  He would have car checked by a mechanic.  Looking to pay up to $5000 but less would be wonderful.  Arriving in Vermont on June 23.  If you have or know of someone looking to sell a car, please contact Bill Freedman at freedman@research.haifa.ac.il
If you can use small dog gear, please let me know.  I had to say goodbye to my pet Peeve, my little Yorkie.  I have his wardrobe, a car bed, and such.  Little Peeve loomed large in my imagination and his own.  Call 259-2773 or email connor@ohio.edu
Thank you.

Got used pint mason jars collecting dust? I am looking for used pint Ball/ Mason jars for canning apple sauce. I would prefer to use your recycled jars (no longer needed) rather than purchase new ones. I just need no more than 9 - 12 to restock my ongoing canning shelf. My toddler twin grandsons have been devouring my applesauce so quickly I almost can't keep up.

The peony sale is very near and dear to our hearts. Three springs ago at the beginning of the pandemic while we were preparing to open for the Inaugural Year, the local peony farm in Belmont, Vermont donated their beautiful flowers to us to sell for 100% of proceeds to benefit the school.

This weekend kicked off the 3rd Annual Peony Sale Fundraiser at the Ludlow Farmers Market, another amazing supporter. Using this link Black River Independent School - 3rd Annual Peony Sale (networkforgood.com) preorders can also be purchased. The next in-person pick up will be at the Ludlow Farmers Market again on Friday, June 17th, from 4-7pm. We will also be around town over the weekend.

Successful opportunities such as this are integral to our operations. These beautiful bouquets not only brighten up anyone's day but also 100% support education. Reserve your festive flowers today.

CAVENDISH VILLAGE GHOST WALK:
While the Dutton House was relocated from the Cavendish Green to the Shelburne Museum, taking with it their ghostly occupants, there are plenty of spirits that seem to reside throughout the village. Thadeous, who missed his stop on the Underground Railroad, paces, but became protective of the family that lived in "his" house. A "visitor" likes to run up the stairs at the same time every night in another residence. Was the arsonist who set fire to many places in town, including the Fitton Mill, responsible for the blaze at what is today the town's Museum?
On Saturday, June 18, the Cavendish Historical Society will be hosting a "ghost walk" of Cavendish Village, where "haunts" and places of "exceptional human experiences" will be visited. The tour begins at 8 p.m. in front of the CHS Museum, 1951 Main Street, Route 131 in Cavendish. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a flashlight.

Good Morning Mount Holly Community,

Sadly, on June 7, 2022 we lost a young member of our community, Ashley Brown. In support of the family, I am collecting food and gas cards.  There is also a donation container at the Belmont Store.  I will say THANK YOU ahead of time as this community never ceases to amaze me with your generosities.

The cards can be dropped at the Mount Holly Town Office Monday through Thursday.  If you wish to provide further support or have questions, please call me at (802) 259-3661.

Thank you again,
Best, Jo Bania
