This 'n That!

Another week, another Friday, another Plew Farm newsletter!  Thank you for following along!

On the farm this week ... we began the week by vaccinating and ear tagging the cows.  The weather was perfect for this activity, and for that we were grateful!  Our laying hens have been enjoying spending a few afternoons outside.  They don't like walking around in snow, and lucky for them, there wasn't any.

And speaking of weather .. our weather station here at the farm will keep you informed!  We've been reading about some possible snow for the weekend ... stay tuned!

Farm stand updates ..  We WILL have pastries and croissants in the farm stand on Saturday this week.  HOWEVER, we will NOT have pastries next week.  And our bread bakers have the weekend off, so no fresh bread this weekend.  HOWEVER, we do have a selection of their bread and english muffins in our freezer, so phew!

Still looking for gifts?!  Check out our canvas prints and handcrafted wood shadow boxes.  Add a touch of Vermont to your decor!  Maple syrup, honey, specialty mustards are perfect additions to your gift boxes.

And remember, we have gift certificates!  Let them pick out what they want - how easy is that?!

Our produce table includes garlic, onions, shallots, carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes, lettuce, spinach and apples!  You need it?  We got it!

And for those busy nights ahead, why not try one of Goodman's Take & Bake pizzas.  With 4 topping choices to choose from, you can't go wrong.

Our farm stand is located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly.  We are open Tuesdays through Sundays from 12:00pm - 5pm (closed on Mondays).  We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Please be cautious and drive accordingly when driving in and out of our driveway.  Be on the lookout for farm equipment, dogs, other customers, and  grandchildren!

HOLIDAY MEATS!

What will you be serving during the holiday season?!  We've got you covered!  Chicken, hams, steaks, briskets, pork shoulder roasts and more are available this weekend in the farm stand.

And don't forget the bacon, eggs, sausage and maple syrup for your breakfasts!

And plenty of ground beef for those big pots of chili!!

Hi Folks,
Nearly Christmas with all the decorations of the season and wondering if we will have snow for the season.  Then here we are another Chit Chat deadline to get through on Sunday December 19th, by 6:00 pm for the January issue.  Please have all articles, announcements, advertisements and any item you wish to share with our community to me by that time as I send off to the printers when I am done.  It goes to print first thing Monday morning so if not to me by 6:00 pm on Sunday it will not make the paper.
On behalf of myself and the Chit Chat Board we would like to thank you for your continued support of the paper.  You should be proud as your support in so many ways helps us get the news out to our community of wonderful people.

Have a Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Boxing Day and above all Have a Happy, Healthy New Year.
