FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CAVENDISH VILLAGE GHOST WALK

The Dutton House, that once sat on the Cavendish Village Green, was considered so haunted, the locals avoided it. In 1950, the spirits seemed to go with the house when it was relocated to Shelburne Museum.  Today it's considered Champlain Valley's most haunted place as museum staff and volunteers have talked about a man, children and other specters that seem to haunt the place. As a result, many prefer not to work in there.

On June 19 (Saturday), the Cavendish Historical Society (CHS) will be hosting a "ghost walk" of Cavendish Village, where "haunts" and places of "exceptional human experiences" (EHE) will be visited. The tour begins at 8 pm in front of the CHS Museum (1951 Main St., Route 131 in Cavendish). Wear comfortable shoes and bring a flashlight.

The tour is free and open to the public. CHS welcomes all stories relating to houses and places in Cavendish and Proctorsville. For more information: margocaulfield@icloud.com or 802-226-7807

Chicken, Beef & Pork - Oh My!

Our freezers are full of delicious cuts of beef and pork.  And our fridge is stocked with fresh chicken.  We've got something for everyone.
BEEF:  Our steak selection includes sirloin, sirloin tip, beef tenderloin, ribeye, NY strip, sirloin flap, flank & skirt.  Ground beef is sold by the pound and our ground beef patties are the easiest way to get burger night started.  Roasts include chuck roast, briskets, sirloin tip roast and round.
PORK:  Our pork freezers contain the best tasting sausage around!  Hot or sweet italian, ground pork, maple breakfast or kielbasa.  Bacon, ribs, roasts and ham steaks round out the selection.
CHICKEN:  Fresh chicken - simple, yet utterly delicious!
We'll have pastries again on Saturday (yay!) as well as fresh bread.  In season produce available as well.

Since we are both vaccinated (YAY!), masks are optional.  Our farm stand is located at 1966 Healdville Road in Mount Holly and is open 7 days a week from 12:00 - 6:00.  We look forward to seeing you!

Don't forget we ship our award winning, wood fired pure Vermont maple syrup, maple almonds and maple cream!  No need to go without .  Visit our online store found on our website.

FRESH CHICKEN!

The moment we've all been waiting for.... FRESH chicken is now available at the farm stand.  Have you tried our pasture raised chicken?  If you haven't, we invite you to try one.  This was our first farm enterprise when Plew Farm was born in 2011.  And it is still popular amongst our family, friends and customers.
Stop on by the farm stand this weekend to see what we've got.  Chicken sizes range from 4 - 6 lbs., and we'll be happy to help you select the appropriate size for your meal planning.
