2017 Ford Transit 250 Van DIY Conversion $30,000

Medium High, Medium Long

Miles: 139826

We built the van to extend our "camping season" and get off the ground after many years of tent camping. It's a very basic build that includes a composting toilet, a water system that uses jugs and a foot pump, solar electric system, shore power hook up and heater. All the basics without all the hassle of black water tanks, carrying hundreds of pounds of water and needing electrical hook ups. Thinsulate insulation in walls and ceiling, insulated floor covered with vinyl sheeting.

Our van is designed for boondocking (being unconnected from water and power). We (2 people) have comfortably been on the road for 3 month trips. The van is very comfortable and easy to drive. It's medium high/medium long dimensions make it easy to maneuver in city or highway traffic and park in normal parking spaces.

We're including everything you'll need to head out on your first (or next) adventure! Our van was built with function and simplicity in mind. We took great care to do the best job possible, being our first van build! It's continued to be a work in progress, needing periodic tweeks and attention to details as one would expect with any vehicle.

If interested, contact us for detailed information regarding the electrical system, exterior and interior details. Optional bike rack mount system, additional $500.
